Todays Story comes from the Kingdom of
Bhutan, in the Himalayas, between Tibet, India and Nepal. While it is
geographically one of the most isolated countries in the world, it
boasts buzzing Internet connectivity and a thriving TurboCASH
Community. Danzer, now a TurboCASH user from Bhutan, downloaded a number of competing Accounting packages and benchmarked
them for use in small business. His final decision, “TurboCASH
is a superb product! It's a diamond.”

fits into the greater range of accounting software packages, read on …
TurboCASH fits into the gap for
small business users. Below is are spreadsheets and personal finance
packages. Above us are ERP systems. It is not as narrow as it seems
and over 10 Million users fall into this market.
From a development perspective, it
would seem that the logical move is to make the package simpler and
thus take market share from the spreadsheets or add more features and
take users form the ERP systems (the expansion strategy depicted
above). In reality this is not a simple matter. Make the package
simpler and serious users regard us as mickey mouse. Add more
features and people find the software too difficult to use.
It is far simpler for us to move
TurboCASH vertically. That is, we just keep connecting it to
more and more systems and making it work in an ever widening set of
tax rules.
