Company Information and Default Settings

This Company Information consists of two screens on which you need to enter and / or select a few options:

  • Address - Enter all your business’ details such as: address, e-mail address, contact numbers and Company and Tax Registration numbers, which you wish to display on all documents, reports, and lists.
  • Options - Click on the Options button to select the Tax method applicable to your VAT/GST/Sales Tax registration, whether your default output option for documents, reports and lists are to be sent to screen, printer, file, e-mail or fax. You may also load a logo picture to be displayed on your reports or documents, and set your Windows™ operating system’s default date and currency formats.

Setup Company Information Details

This option allows you to enter all your business’ details such as: address, e-mail address, contact numbers and Company and Tax Registration numbers, which you wish to display on all documents, reports, and lists.

To Enter the Company Information:

  1. Click on the Setup→System Parameters→Company Info menu option.
    Keyboard Access - Keyboard Access: Press the F5 key on your keyboard. Alternatively, press the Alt+S+S+I keys on your keyboard.
    The Company Information screen is displayed:

  2. Enter the following information, applicable to this Set of Books:
    1. Company Name - Enter the name of your business - This is the registered name or the trading name of your business, which should be displayed on all documents, Statements, Remittance Advises, etc.
    2. Address and Postal Code - This is the registered or other address, which should be displayed on documents, Statements, Remittance Advises, etc.
    3. E-Mail - The valid e-mail address as registered with your Internet Service Provider, which should be displayed on documents, Statements, Remittance Advises, etc.
    4. Telephone no. - The telephone number, which should be displayed on documents, Statements, Remittance Advises, etc.
    5. Fax no. - The fax number, which should be displayed on documents, Statements, Remittance Advices, etc.
    6. Company Reg. No. - Only needs to be entered if your business is a Close Corporation or a Company registered in terms of the Close Corporations Act, or Companies Act. In the case of a Non-profit Organisation, registered in terms of the Non-profit Organisations Act, the number of your organisation (sometimes the Fund-raising number) should be entered.
    7. Tax Reg. No. - This field should be left blank, if you are not registered for VAT/GST/Sales Tax. If you are registered, the VAT/GST/Sales Tax number must be entered in this field. This tax number should not be confused with your normal Income Tax number.
  3. Click on the Options button to set the defaults for the Set of Books.

Note - Should you only have changed your address details, phone numbers, etc. you may click on the OK button to save your changes and close or exit this screen.
