Define Labels
This option allows you to define label specifications in order to print debtors and creditors names and addresses to labels. You may also create or define label specifications for your stock items, if you trade in stock items. You need to set the label specifications such as: the number of labels across, down, their height and width, etc.
To Define Labels:
-
Click on the Setup→Preferences→Define Labels menu option.
- Keyboard Access: Press the Alt+S+P+L keys on your keyboard.
The Define Labels screen is displayed:
-
On the Label Description, select the option New, and the screen will change where you specify the name of the new labels you wish to create. You could create, for example, Debtor Address Lists, Creditor Address Lists, Barcodes for Stock Items, etc.
-
Click on the OK button. The following screen is then displayed on which you define each of the settings for the labels.
-
Select the paper size and label width, height and number of labels across and down the page. You have to be guided by the label stationery you are using. For example, the above screen indicates an A4 page (in Portrait mode) with three (3) labels across and eight (8) labels down the page. Each label is 70mm wide by 35mm high. There is a 1mm gap between each label.
-
Click on the OK button to save your changes and to exit this screen.
