Setup Preferences Menu

This menu option lists all the preferential settings for the backup path, fonts, printer, data parameters, labels (debtor, creditor and stock item labels). You may also select the colour and a background picture, which will be displayed, in your TurboCASH program to make your working environment more pleasant.

To Access the Setup - Preferences Menu:

  1. Click on the Setup→Preferences menu option.
    Keyboard Access - Keyboard Access: Press the Alt+S+P keys on your keyboard.
    A list of the seven available options is displayed:

  2. Select any of the following options:
    1. Backup Path - Set the default backup drive and folders on your system on which you wish to create backup files or folders.
    2. Fonts - You may select any of the available font schemes in which the program can be displayed.
    3. Colours - In addition to the Windows default, you may select any of the available colour schemes in which the program can be displayed.
    4. Data Parameters - Set the options for debit and credit amounts to be displayed on your reports. You can also set the number of decimals to be stored and the number of decimals to be displayed for the amounts or numbers on reports.
      You may also select to display the default system currency symbol and specify a symbol or a character to format the display of large numbers or amounts on reports. The default number of documents you wish to print can also be specified.
    5. Define Labels - Define label specifications to print debtors and creditors names and addresses on to labels. You may also define label specifications for your stock items, if you trade in stock items.
    6. Printer - Select the default printer on which reports and documents are printed.
    7. Theme Style - Select the Windows XP (default) or the Office XP theme style.
    8. Theme - In addition to the Classic, in which no background picture is displayed, you have several different themes or background pictures to choose from. You may also select to display them at random.
