Context menu - Change account
This documents context menu allows you to select a different debtor (customer / client) account for unposted sales documents (i.e. Invoices, Credit notes or Quotes) or a different creditor (supplier / vendor) account for unposted purchase documents (i.e. Purchases, Supplier returns or Orders).
You may need to use this context menu option, if you have created documents and you need to change the debtor (customer / client) account or creditor (supplier / vendor) account. Some cases where this option may be used, is as follows:
To change a debtor (customer / client) account for a unposted document:
- Select the Invoices, Credit notes or Quotes document type.
- Select the document to change the account for.
- Right-click and select Documents → Change account option on the context menu. The "Debtor accounts" list screen is displayed:
- Select a different account.
- Click on the Open or OK button.
To change the creditor (creditor / vendor) account for a unposted purchase document:
- Select the Purchases, Supplier returns or Orders document type.
- Select the document to create an account for.
- Right-click and select Documents → Change account option on the context menu. The "Creditor accounts" list screen is displayed:
- Select a different account.
- Click on the Open or OK button.
