In order to run TurboCASH5.2 you will need, as a minimum, the following system requirements:

  1. An IBM compatible computer running a 32-bit Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  2. 256 MB of RAM for a single user and 512 MB for a multi-user.
  3. Approximately 1 GB available hard disk space.
  4. USB - Port and available USB-drives to save and store backups elsewhere. 
  5. SVGA / LCD / LED screen (1440 x 900 screen resolution or higher).

On devices with a 1366 x 768 screen resolution, you may need to:

Collapse the ribbons (automatically hide the ribbons) when working in forms or screens such as Documents, Debtors, Creditors, Stock, etc.   

or

Set the "Style values for ribbon" to Tablet mode.

  1. System number format setting - To print the “Budget vs actual” and “This year vs last year” reports.
  2. Microsoft Excel (Office) or other program which supports spreadsheets (e.g. LibreOffice, OpenOffice or UltraOffice) installed to save reports or export data from the Ledger analyser, and data from various options. 

Recent decreases in the cost of hardware have made even the simplest of modern devices, orders of magnitude better than older devices. It will run more securely on a better device. The costs saved by using an old device will soon be at risk given the time and effort that it will take to construct a Set of Books and re-enter the data.
