Spreadsheet - Import - general ledger accounts
Select the Set of Books which contains the Accounts (Chart of accounts) you need to export.
This option will allow you to import data for Account records from a valid file format into an existing Set of Books. To be able to import the data for Account records, you need to have created a valid XML Database file, TXF TurboCASH Data Exchange file, Lotus Spreadsheet file on your system in the Setup → Export menu.

To import accounts to a spreadsheet:
- In the Set of Books in which which you wish to import the Accounts to a spreadsheet file, go to Setup → Accounts (Setup ribbon).
- Click on the Spreadsheet icon. A blank Spreadsheet will be displayed.
- Click on the Open icon on the "Data Import Export" screen.
- Locate a valid Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) saved file and click on the Open button. All the "accounts" (chart of accounts) included in the exported file is populated in the spreadsheet.
- To do a import check of the imported file, select (tick) the "Show data before import" option and click on the Import check icon.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Click on the Import icon.
- The "ImportCheck" screen (if the Import the "Show data before import" option was selected (ticked) on the "Data Import Export" spreadsheet screen) is displayed:
- Select the location where you wish to save the spreadsheet file.
- Enter a name Click the Save button.
- Close the "Data Import Export" spreadsheet screen.
- On the Setup ribbon, select Import. The "Import Data into TurboCASH5.2" screen, is displayed:
- Select Accounts as the Data Type to Import, if not already displayed.
- Select one of the following file types in which the data to import, is saved on your system:
- Tab delimited (recommended)
- TurboCASH Exchange File (*.TXF)
- XML Database File (*.XML)
- Lotus Spreadsheet File (*.WK1)
- Click on the button to locate the data file. The following screen is displayed:
- Click on the button to locate the data file.
- Click on the button. The following screen is displayed:
- Click on the Import button. The "ImportCheck" screen is displayed:
